3DD - Day 13

Presentation day...

I had anticipated that my presentation would be quite confusing and not to the standard I wanted it to be. This was the outcome because I hadn’t managed my time well, which is something I hope to handle in my next project. I was hoping to explain the project to my peers, but we had to explain our peer's work instead. 

I needed to consolidate what would be included in my sheets and make faster decisions on what my final idea would be, by doing this, my project would have been more organised. 

3DD - Day 12

Returning to the aspect of 3D projections, I decided that the material used for my 'globe' structure would be similar to the material of the Allianz arena, where it illuminates in different colours. The globe for this restaurant would illuminate or have projections of the world map on the exterior. During different culture themed evenings for the restaurant, the country used for that particular evening would be project on the globe.

As the model for my outcome became quite rushed, I decided to recreate it on google sketchup.
It was not possible to draw on curved surfaces in sketchup, so I had to represent the pattern that would be created on the globe on the exterior of a cube.
